I’m surrounded by love every day, I get to be creative, and I feel like what we’re doing is impacting lives for the better.

As Marketing Manager for Junebug Weddings and Photobug Community, Lexi has helped grow Junebug’s following by more than 500% and increased traffic to the Junebug blog by nearly 150% since 2016.

Through trial and error, tons of research, and innovation, she’s worked with her team to craft Junebug’s marketing strategies, and then share all of their best practices with wedding photographers via Photobug Community. She lives in Austin, Texas and loves spending time outside with her pup Trixie, listening to live music, and is always planning her next trip abroad. You can count on Lexi to show up to a team meeting with baked goods and a smile.

Converting Likes Into Leads

What drives you to get out of bed in the morning?

Thinking about all of the exciting opportunities the day holds! I really love my job, the smart women I have the pleasure of working with, and all of the talented wedding professionals I interact with on a daily basis. You wedding photographers send kind words to our team all the time, and it truly lifts us up! If it’s extra tough for me to get out of bed in the morning, (def not a morning person!) I’ll make a promise to myself to squeeze in a fun activity on my lunch break.

What is your measure of success?

If I’m happy, meeting my work goals, and feel connected to the people I love, I’m doing great 🙂

Why Photobug?

I’m surrounded by love every day, I get to be creative, and I feel like what we’re doing is impacting lives for the better. It’s super rewarding to help small businesses grow in a sustainable way, and it’s beyond cool that stumbling upon our Facebook group, one of our blog posts, or e-courses can truly change the game for a wedding photographer. Plus, I really enjoy the community aspect. We’ve created a space for photographers to grow and share together, so managing our Facebook group and watching you all connect is such a joy.

What is the latest book you have read?

I’m in the middle of “Educated” by Tara Westover right now. It’s a memoir from a woman born to survivalists who doesn’t set foot in a classroom until she’s 17! She educates herself all the way to Cambridge and Harvard! It’s inspiring and entertaining all in one, and I’m hooked.
